The seventh edition of Sofia Singer Songwriter Fest to take place on October 7th and 8th

The international Sofia Singer Songwriter Fest is to take place for a seventh time. The dates are October 7th and 8th 2023. The event starts at 18:00 and the venue is again Club 1857 (22 San Stefano Street, opposite the Bulgarian National Television building), where talented Bulgarian and foreign artists will present in the cozy atmosphere. They will perform original songs within 15 minutes each.

Twelve artists will compete in the two evenings – a semifinal and a final.

Among them are:  Aiya M. Rose (Slovenia), Mladen Bobev, Stanimira Teneva, Nina Lynn (the Netherlands), Yoana Uzunova, Nikolay Urumov, Samuel Manuelyan, Ognyan Drandiyski, Krasimir Kirchev, Orlin Vitanov, Nikolay Dimitrov and Emanuil Lozanov.

A three-member jury, comprised of Plamen Sivov (Tochka BG), Vasko Gromkov (the Bulgarian National Television) and a special foreign guest, will assess the performances based on the following criteria: music, lyrics, vocals, playing skills and stage presence.

There will be recitals by previous festival winners: Loes (the Netherlands), Rob Clamp and Steve Lowis (the UK), as well as a rich pre-party program featuring Bulgarian bards at the Art Club Sofia on October 6th at 19.30h.

The grand finale will include a group performance of Queen’s eternal song, We Are The Champions.

So mark your calendar and attend this inspiring event on October 7th and 8th 2023 in order to enjoy quality acoustic music and poetry in a wonderful atmosphere. There is no entrance fee but there is a guarantee for a good mood.
