ClimAccelerator

Еco-innovation accelerator will run from July to December 2021

Here is what our partners from Innovation Starter shared recently:

ClimAccelerator Black Sea, the Romanian-Bulgarian consortium funded by EIT Climate-KIC of the European Union, is looking for ideas for tackling climate change

ClimAccelerator Black Sea is a program for accelerating and funding eco-innovation solutions contributing to environmental sustainability and the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere.

The accelerator for start-up eco-ideas is suitable for teams with the ambition to develop their business models in the field of circular economy and to work towards overcoming the effects of climate change.

In Bulgaria, the project is run by Innovation Starter Accelerator, as part of the Romanian-Bulgarian consortium, with a leading partner Impact Hub Bucharest and in partnership with Climate Vertical.

ClimAccelerator Black Sea is funded by the public-private innovation partnership EIT Climate-KIC of the European Union.

At the first stage of the program in Bulgaria in 2021, 8 start-up ideas in the “validation” phase will be funded with a grant of 5,000 euros. The teams will go through a rigorous two-month training program, during which they will have the opportunity to pivot their ideas and accurately choose their first clients, partners and niche for development.

3 green companies in the initial stage will have the opportunity to receive training and grant funding of 20,000 euros in the second stage of the program for further development of their idea.

In addition, 3 green companies in the advanced phase will receive mentor support in seeking financing and meetings with investors for the “scaling” phase.

ClimAccelerator Black Sea is an accelerator for sustainable green business solutions, clean technologies and eco-innovation. It follows the objectives and principles of the European Green Pact, which addresses climate change and environmental deterioration.

Start-up companies with eco-innovation ideas can apply for the program from 20.07.2021 to 15.08.2021 HERE
