The American financier and philanthropist Larry Biehl is to visit Bulgaria again between November 13th and 19th 2023. He will hold meetings about future foundation projects, namely support for Bulgarian municipalities and entrepreneurship backing through European Union funds. Mr. Biehl is to go to the city of Plovdiv, where he will meet the management of the University of Plovdiv “Paisii Hilendarski”, as well as tech representatives. His journey will continue to Gabrovo, where a meeting is planned with the mayor, Mrs. Tanya Hristova; and the deputy mayors for education and culture. A highlight in Mr. Biehl’s tour will be the city of Varna. There he will take part in the international innovations conference called Innowave Summit, which is to take place at the Palace of Culture and Sports on November 17th and 18th 2023. Mr. Biehl is to give a lecture on the topic of wealth – “Is wealth a benefit or a burden?”. He will also participate in a panel together with leading Bulgarian entrepreneurs.
Larry Biehl will be accompanied by his daughter, Heather, who is visiting Bulgaria for the first time. She is expected to take over her father’s Foundation in the future and to continue his work in Bulgaria.
Larry Biehl is a financial consultant and investment manager with over five decades of experience in Silicon Valley. He knows the history of this mecca for computer industries first hand and has invested the funds of the first hi-tech millionaires. He is co-founder of two successful financial companies and has generous experience in managing assets and personal finances. He is also co-author of financial textbooks and creator of two foundations – InterCulture and Bulgarian Entrepreneurship Center. He frequently visits Bulgaria, loves it and often initiates beneficial projects in the fields of entrepreneurship, education, medicine and culture. Larry Biehl is an English Literature and Medieval History graduate, who has a master’s in finance from Stanford University in California.
